I am part of the Board of Directors for KHK, and I proudly serve along with Anthony Sou, both on the board and as his wife. We have been together for 19 years and have 2 kids (Kyle and Kayla). I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business at DePaul University and have been in the industry for the past 22 years.
I joined KHK when Anthony started the organization in 2012. Through his passion he was able to bring awareness to the plight of those that are in need in his home country. His journey to Cambodia captured my heart and I am honored and proud to be a part of this organization.
In 2016, I had the opportunity to see with my own eyes the struggles that the people in Cambodia face day to day and it only reinforced my willingness to help them. During our visits to the schools in these impoverished areas, my heart ached as I saw kids that haven’t bathed or washed themselves, they had dirty uniforms, no shoes, and teeth that haven’t been cleaned. The realization of how fortunate my kids are compared to them made my eyes swell with tears. I saw families struggle to provide food for their loved ones living in deplorable conditions, children begging for food, homeless individuals and families sleeping on the streets.
As a member of KHK Foundation, I am committed to helping all that I can to help others have a brighter future.
